The Urban Decay Smoked Palette and the Naked Smoky Palette are my two favorite palettes to create a smoky eye with.
The Naked Smoky Palette has matte and shimmer shadows. I used this palette to create a purple smoky eye to a wedding and I was in love with it! The shadows and the pigments last all day and do not crease. It has matte browns which are great for using as a transition color or to create a lighter smoky eye. These shadows can all be incorporated into everyday looks. This palette is versatile and is a good fit for everyone.
The palette also comes with a doubled ended brush. The short side is great for packing on the color while the other side is great for blending on color or applying a shadow lightly.
The Smoky palette is another palette that has great eyeshadows. It has neutrals and shimmer shades. This one is different from the Naked palette because it has color shadows that can be used to create a colored smoky eye or can be used alone. It’s had to find a matte black shadow that is dark, pigmented and applies evenly. Blackout is one of my favorite black eyeshadows from my palette collection. It’s a matte black but goes on smooth like the other colors in this palette. It also comes with a full size 24/7 eyeliner in the color perversion. It is one of my favorite pencil eyeliners because it glides on to the eyelid or the waterline and it last all day especially when a black eyeshadow is applied to top of the eyeliner.
Both of these palettes are from Urban Decay. I have all the Naked palettes and I have not once had any issues with the shadows. Each palette bought from Urban Decay comes with a sample eyeshadow primer to help extend the life of the eyeshadow when you’re wearing it. If a shade creases or doesn’t stay throughout the day try the primer it will help.
